Dean Winchester is played by Jensen Ackles and is the older brother to Sam Winchester. His parents are John Winchester & Mary Winchester, both deceased.

Dean was born January 24, 1979 in Lawrence, Kansas. When Dean was four, Azazel, a demon, visited the house to feed Sam demon blood. When Mary tried to stop him, Azazel pinned Mary to the nursery ceiling and set the house on fire. John took Sam from his crib, handing him to Dean and told Dean to get out of the house as fast as he could.

After the house fire, John left Lawrence with Dean and Sam. John devouted his life to fighting other monsters and looking for the demon who killed his wife, having Dean and Sam follow in his footsteps.

Dean, while a little immature, was shown to be understanding & witty. Dean is a fan of classic rock music and westerns/cowboys, having been excited to go to the old west twice. It's also shown and referenced countless times that he's good with kids. Dean has been trapped in Hell & purgatory, even stating that being in Hell felt like 40 years while on Earth it was only 4 months.

Woah! you like Dean?! who could've guessed!!! The most fan favourite of fan favourites, if that makes sense. I think people who don't even like--or watch--Supernatural, still like Dean to some capacity.

Dean means so much to me. He cares for everyone around him and tries to protect everybody, even the people he's met for a few seconds but hides this care under jokes and stocism.

When he was raised from Hell, he believed he didn't deserve to be saved, that Hell was the moral consequence of what he did on Earth despite every good he did. He died a hundred and more times, sometimes to save one person. He cares so deeply, but he himself can't even see that and my gosh, that's just the final nail in the coffin to me.
